In the spring of 2023, 1st - 2nd graders learned how and why we "get specific" in our writing. Through fun painting and poetry projects, they practiced adding detail to help a reader understand.

black on the tip of the ear
Tail is like a lightning bolt
what will we do
don’t forget Mew’s here too
he is a pink little pokemon and it says mew
we won’t stop
we want justice
mew you can do it
I believe you
this silly old Eternitus blue and red
is nothing compared to you Mew

Remember the boom!!!
Mew and the broken building is red and blue
its 65ft tall too.
Don’t listen to Eternitus mew
Beat it beat it Eternitus!
The Rubik's Cube

The rubik's cube is colorful as a rainbow
it is school bus traffic light yellow
with dark edges as a cave
and it makes an itchy scratching sound
with 50 boxes
25 + 25 is the numbers of it


There are tons of colorers
Dark and light
The stem is like a cylinder
The green is like trees
And leaves and the bees
The petals are like smiley faces
The petals are curved as a fist
There are six petals
The pink is like coral
The pink is like love and my glove
The white is like ice
The yellow is like the sun
The orange is like fire and a liar
The dots are purple
There are 73 dots
They are not close to each other
