AMANDA:
Cyber bullied to Famous in One Night
by Nathan | 6th Grade
There was a girl named Amanda and she was a girl with all As in her grades. Amanda was a girl with glasses and a ponytail. However, She had no friends at the school in Phoenix, Arizona. The school is a fancy school with huge lockers and AP classes. There are a lot of students too. In addition, she was bullied in school and was cyberbullied. She had to change to homeschooling since the bullying bothered her much. However, the cyberbullying didn’t stop. The cyberbullying she was getting was mostly people telling her to do their homework or making comments on how she looked.
One of them said, “Hey dork, why don't you do my homework, huh?”
Another said, “Don’t show up to school now, you stink.”
When she started homeschooling, she blocked everyone she knew and changed her main information so no one could bother her now. Although she started homeschooling, when she went outside to play or go to get groceries she faced her school bullies on the road.
One day, she was going downtown on her bike to check out some textbooks from the library. She spotted a bully named Todd in the corner telling a boy to do his chemistry homework. Amanda tried to walk away, but she was spotted.
Todd said, “Hey long time no see, I’ll give you my math homework, now finish it!”
Amanda wanted to shout at him back, but he was twice the size of her and could easily beat her and she didn’t have the courage. Amanda’s heart broke, she started shedding tears while cycling back home.
That night, Amanda wished to herself before bed; she wanted to be a famous. When she woke up, she remembered having a crazy dream last night. She was the most popular kid at her school. She was friends with everybody, she wasn’t teased, and she wasn’t cyber bullied.
As she got out of bed, her mother asked her to go get food from the grocery store. Therefore, Amanda went out to run some errands for her mom. When she got to the store on her bike, everyone turned to look at her and started asking for autographs and pictures. Amanda didn’t know what to do, so she just ran to get the apples, oranges, and bananas she needed and got on her bike to ride back home.
When Amanda arrived home, she told her mom about being surrounded by people like she was famous and she wanted to test her famousness out, so she went to school. When she went to school, everyone wanted to be friends with her. They treated her as a queen by doing as Amanda asked. They would also ask for photography and autographs from Amanda. When Amanda was on the news, Amanda was shown shopping for fruits and riding her bike back home. They even found out her home address, which was shown to the public. Quikly, her fans started crowding her front porch and started climbing the fences. She also spent all her money that she got through her social media on new cars, house, pool, and so much more. However, she quickly learned that where she went, everyone followed her making privacy hard to find.
That night, Amanda went to bed and wished that everything would go back to normal again. In her dream, she saw her getting no attention, peacefully doing what she needed to. However, a few moments after, she saw fans surrounding her as if she was a mouse getting squeezed by a snake. Then, she came face to face with herself wanting to be noticed and famous. They argued back and forth trying to debate the pros and cons of being famous. They decided to have a vote to decide weather they should stay famous or return back to normal. All of her thoughts came to vote and her thoughts voted mostly for to stay famous.
Therefore, Amanda used her last strength to give an inspirational speech: If we continue being famous our lives and privacy will be in danger. Some people will be jealous and try to assasinate us. Do we want to live a life risky or a quiet life. Everyone started to discuss, even her rival started to think. The cons outweighed the prons. Lastly, they decided to agree on living regularly.
The next day, Amanda checked outside of her house and no one was there. Amanda returned back normal. That day, she went back to the library and went up to the bully. She gave him a lecture: “Why do you go around messing with kids that are smart to do your homework that you are getting graded on and getting mad when your score is dropped because they messed up. You are responsible for your own work and you own it, so go do your own homework.” From that day on, she was not bullied, got back into school, and learned that you can appreciate what you have.
